The Advanced Photography Course is directed to people who are familiar with the language and skills of photography.
The aim of this course is to work on an individual or collective photographic project about the concept of contemporary landscape.
We will elaborate and study into depth our relationship with typical places and spaces of our everyday life: landscapes, where natural aspects and urbanity are mixed together; border marginal areas, where human traces are more or less evident and where our look usually does not stop to see the real richness of the intrinsic meaning of those places.
The investigative work of each participant will be a valuable piece for a subjective and transformed reconstruction of the image of Versila and Alta Versilia territories.
There will be three outdoor trainings, followed by a critical analysis of the resulting photos. The schedule of outdoors training will be planned with participants, and they probably will take place during the week-end.
The suggested photo-equipment is: digital or analog reflex camera.
The classes language is Italian.
The following program can be partially modified and readjusted according to the requests of participants:
- Definition and description of a common photographic project. Development of individual skills and interests of each participant.
- Analysis and critics of the work of most representative landscape photographers in the world; analogies and differences with the aims of our projects.
- Research on the landscape and “non-place” concept; thematic choice and individual style.
- Outdoor photographic research, daylight or nocturne, followed by discussions
and group comparisons.
- A selection from each individual photographic project will be proposed for a collective exhibition within the event Seravezza Fotografia 2013 (to be confirmed).
The 10 weekly classes are scheduled as follows: every Thursday from April 11 to June 13, 2013 included.
Time: 9:00 pm - 11:00 pm.
PRICE: 170 euro
